Modern technology, enabling learning Quran in improved ways

The importance of the Quran for the Muslims is simply beyond all doubts. This is the divine book consisting of pure words of Allah Almighty, revealed by Allah, and valid until eternity. The words in the Quran are the words by Allah Almighty. Therefore, it is not really a matter of surprise why it holds such great importance for the Muslims, as stated in Quran itself:

Al-Kahf [18:27] And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.

Therefore, the person who learns, understands, and recites the Quran is very dear to the sovereign of this world. The importance of this person in the eyes of Allah Almighty can be judged by the following Hadith:

"When anyone recites the Holy Quran, he gets ten virtues written down for him against each letter".

Lucky for us that we live in such a technologically advanced era, so much so that we can be honored by Quran Recitation Online. Perhaps many of us are intrigued by the idea of Quran Recitation Online, but the reality is that internet is quite abundant with the opportunities of Quran Recitation Online.

There are many authentic websites who offer this honorable opportunity of Quran Recitation Online through highly qualified Quran tutors who take this as a religious responsibility rather than simple day to day job.

Quran Recitation Online has also enabled those Muslims who live in some non-Muslim countries where the opportunities of learning and understanding Quran are quite scarce. Now all they need to do is find a credible source of Quran Recitation Online and get this religious obligation fulfilled to its best.

The revelation of the Quran

Allah Almighty revealed the Holy book of the Quran in the Holy month of Ramadan. It is described in the verse of second chapter of the Quran, which is given below.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran,

“The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was revealed, a guidance to men and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction; therefore whoever of you is present in the month, he shall fast therein, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then (he shall fast) a (like) number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire for you difficulty, and (He desires) that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you and that you may give thanks.” Quran Al-Baqara [2:185]

Of course, the entire Quran was not revealed in the month of the Ramadan but the revelation started in that Holy month. The Quran was revealed in parts in a period of 23 years. No one can produce anything like the verses of the Quran. Allah Almighty confirms it in the following words.

“Say: If men and jinn should combine together to bring the like of this Quran, they could not bring the like of it, though some of them were aiders of others”. Quran Al-Isra [17:88]

The Holy Quran has been the way of living for the followers of Islam ever since God Almighty revealed His first glorious words to our Ummah on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) almost 1400 years ago, as:

Being a competent Quran tutor

Being a Quran tutor is a matter of great prestige for any Muslim. This is because the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said,

“The best among you is the one who learnt Quran and taught it to others”.

It is extremely important for a Quran tutor to be competent. For being, a competent Quran tutor one must take the following steps.

· First, the person must decide if he or she really wants to be a Quran tutor. It is a matter of great honor but a job of great responsibility too.

· The Quran tutor must realize that his or her job is of a very sensitive nature. A single mistake can cause a lot of damage. Only the people who think they can take and handle great responsibility should become the Quran tutor.

· The person who wants to teach the Quran should decide a niche for himself or herself. This is because the scope of the Quran teaching is very broad. One can teach Arabic reading or Tajweed. Other than that, one can teach the translation of the Quran. Alternatively, one can become an expert in explaining the Quran.

· The tutor must also decide if he or she wants to teach the kids or the adults because the style of teaching for both is usually different.

Holy Quran Search Engine

The Muslims should make sure that the Holy Quran, the divine book revealed by Allah Almighty reaches the masses of the world. This is because the Holy Quran is not just a book to be read or understood by Muslims only. It is guidance for the entire humanity.

To make the Holy Quran accessible to the entire world, it is very good initiative to put it online. The online Quran has solved the problem of many Muslims and guided many non-Muslims.

The availability of the Holy Quran online is not the only step that the Muslims took. Now there is also a search engine for the Holy Quran online.

If we define in very precise terms, the Holy Quran Search Engine is meant to serve the following purposes.

1. Of course, it has to have all the chapters and verses of the Quran.

2. If one types the number or name of a Surah (chapter of the Quran), in the search field, the search engine should generate the Surah on the screen.

3. If one types the number of an Ayah (verse) of the Holy Quran, in the search field, the search engine should generate the verse on the screen.

4. Along with Arabic Quran, it should also have the translations.

Different aspects of online Quran recitation

“Our Lord! and raise up in them a Messenger from among them who shall recite to them Thy communications and teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them; surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise”. Al-Baqara [2:129]

The online Quran recitation is becoming extremely popular these days. Given below are some of the aspects of the online Quran recitation that every Muslim who uses the computer and internet should know about.

· The recitation of the Quran is a way of earning a lot of virtues and a way of transforming the life. So take it seriously

Different aspects of Quran reading

The Quran reading is a source of many virtues for the Muslims. First, the recitation brings virtues. The people who experience difficulty in the recitation get even more virtues. Then if one applies the knowledge of the Quran reading, to transform his or her life there are even more virtues.

The Quran reading requires the familiarity of the Arabic script as it is revealed in Arabic.

Yusuf [12:2] “Surely We have revealed it-- an Arabic Quran-- that you may understand”.

When someone decides to do the Quran reading, one must keep the following verse of the Quran in mind.

Al-Isra [17:88] Say: “If men and jinn should combine together to bring the like of this Quran, they could not bring the like of it, though some of them were aiders of others”.

Trying to omit anything or change anything during the Quran reading is a big sin. For reference, a verse of Quran is given as follows.

Yunus [10:15] “And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who hope not for Our meeting say: Bring a Quran other than this or change it. Say: It does not beseem me that I should change it of myself; I follow naught but what is revealed to me; surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a mighty day”.

Verses about Peace in the Quran

The world Islam literally means ‘peace, purity, and submission’. Therefore, it is not really a surprise that there are so many verses about peace in the Quran.

In fact, the Quran was revealed in the night of peace. It is told in the Quran in the following words.

‘Verily! We have sent it (this Qur’an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree). And what will make you know what the night of decree is. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Ruh (Jibril) by Allah’s Permission with all Decree, Peace! Until the appearance of dawn.’(Surah-al-Qadr (97), verses 1-5)

The greeting of peace is rampant in the divine circles of Islam. It is the faith of Muslims that they will meet their Lord with the words of peace. It is explained in the following verse of the Quran.

Their greeting on the day they shall meet Him will be: Peace. And He will prepare for them a generous reward.’(Surah-al-Ahzaab (33), verse 44)

Peace is also a reward for the righteous Muslims. The angels would greet the Muslims into the Jannah with the greetings of peace according to the Quran.

And the angels shall enter unto them from every gate (saying): "Peace be unto you for that you have persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!"’(Surah-ar-Ra’d (13), verses 23-24)

What Islam Says About Equality?

Muslims today are mostly criticized by every other nation, as a misconception we are treated badly and also consider as defaulters for everything in every case. But today I want to talk about on Equality, When Islam came in Arab over 1400 years ago people buried their daughters alive at that time Our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) gave them the teachings of Islam And eliminates this gender discrimination and taught the lesson of Equality. In order to understand Islam everybody can read it with translation or can consult an authentic Quran Tutor to eliminate misconception about Islam and Muslims.

In Quran Allah says: It is He Who created you from a single person and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah, their Lord (saying) "If You give us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful."(Quran 7:189)

(He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves
and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you! There is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the one that hears and sees (all things). (Quran 42:11)

Now think about that how Islam is a rigid religion, it’s a best religion among others and a most moderate religion.

Significance of peace in Quran

Islam is a religion, which greatly stresses on peace. The Quran is the divine Holy book of the Muslims. They rely on it for taking guidance about most of the worldly and spiritual aspects of living.

The significance of peace in the religion of Islam can be judged from the fact that the reward for the dutiful Muslims in the hereafter is a state of ultimate peace and no fear. Many critics of Islam especially say that Surah Baqara (the second chapter) of the Quran has verses, which promote violence and war. This is not true. Actually, those verses are about special circumstances that prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) faced in his life.

If someone wants to understand the message of peace in the Quran, especially in the Surah Baqara must consider the verses mentioned below.

Allah Almighty says in the Quran,

“But he who feareth from a testator some unjust or sinful clause, and maketh peace between the parties, (it shall be) no sin for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful”. Quran Al-Baqara [2:182]

“And make not Allah, by your oaths, a hindrance to your being righteous and observing your duty unto Him and making peace among mankind. Allah is Hearer, Knower”. Quran Al-Baqara [2:224]

Importance of Muharram according to the Quran

Many people think that Muharram is important only because the incident of Karbala happened in it. However, the study of Quran and Hadees shows that Muharram is important for several other reasons too.

Given below is a verse from the Quran.

The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year) - So ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: That is the right religion. So wrong not yourselves therein”. (Surah Taubah Al-Quran)

The following is a brief explanation of the importance of Muharram according to the Quran and Hadees.

  1. Allah Almighty declared Muharram as the sacred month in the Quran.
  2. . Allah Almighty chose Muharram to be the first month of the Islamic calendar.
  3. The Jews of Medina used to fast on 10th of Muharram because on 10th Moses (r.a) was saved from the tyrant ruler and his army miraculously.
  4. The prophet Muhammad asked the Muslims to fast for the same reason. However to distinguish the Muslims from the Jews he asked to fast either on 9th or on 11th of Muharram. If a person wants to fast on 10th also, then he should fast on both the 9th and 10th of Muharram.
  5. Allah chose Shahadat for Imam Hussein (r.a) on the 10th of Muharram. It was a blessing of Allah on him to be Shaheed on such a sacred day.

Why to Learn and Teach Quran?

Quran is a divine book of Allah, its every word is Allah’s word and Allah is a supreme power and creator of everything in this universe. We are here today is just because of Allah now the question is why to learn Quran? The answer is very simple that as Quran is a divine book of Allah than it must contain important messages of Allah for His creatures and guidelines for all mankind. I can elaborate this through by giving you an example of any new product which comes in market for example an I-phone it must contains a manual for it which contains all the instructions and other guidelines for operating it. So you can say that Quran is a manual for all of us, we should learn it in order to understand and after learning we should Teach Quran to all others, it has great virtues and just because of you another person can also go to a straight path.

Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said: "Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it.'' If you have enough knowledge than its ones duty to spread it otherwise you will be answerable to Allah. May Allah bless us to learn Quran and teach it to others as well.

Online Quran- Different Aspects

Downloading the online Quran to the mobile phone or the computer is a great idea. Just keep the following things about the online Quran in the mind.

1. One should essentially make sure that the online Quran is authentic. It means that the Quran is not altered in any way and there is nothing omitted or added to the original manuscript of the Quran.

2. Some Muslims are not careful and vigilant about the authenticity of the Quran they download. They say that the safety of the Quran is the responsibility of Allah Almighty. Therefore, they do not need to bother. It is true that Allah Almighty has promised the safety of Quran by himself. However, a Muslim must not forget his or her responsibility. If someone is being vigilant about the accuracy of the online Quran, the person himself is herself is benefitting because he r she is earning virtues by doing so.

3. The online Quran should be respected just as one respects the hard copy of the Quran. Remember the words in the Quran are the words of the Allah Almighty revealed on the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). Therefore, whether it is in the form of a hard copy or a soft copy, it is mandatory on the Muslims to respect it.

Why to Seek Forgiveness from Allah

“Before you could ask for forgiveness, God has already forgiven you. Each second He's calling for you knocking at your door so that you may follow the straight path and return to Him peacefully”. In this Hadith e Qudsi Allah says I forgive you before you could ask for forgiveness that shows Allah is Merciful and Quran uses the attribute “Raheem, Kareem” for Allah, Allah forgives a person if he is guilty. While Quran Recitation I read an Ayat which is about forgiveness which is as follow:

“O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.”

Every day every second we done many things wrong, we do a lot of sins but we forget that Allah is seeing us, nothing is hidden from Allah. But if we ask Him for forgiveness, He definitely forgives His creatures. As our Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said O people! Repent to Allah and seek for His forgiveness. I repent to Him in a day 100 times” (Reported by Muslim).

Different Aspects of Online Quran reading

The online Quran reading is getting extremely popular among the Muslims now. There are several reasons for this consistent increase in popularity. A basic reason is that the Muslim world too has adopted technology now and is now more comfortable with the computers and internet as compared to the state some years ago. Especially the youngsters prefer online Quran reading now because they spend most of their time on their computers and the internet.

There are several aspects of the online Quran reading that the adult Muslims must keep in mind.

1. The online Quran reading is not different from the conventional Quran reading in the spirit. So, one must take special care that one is prepared for it. The Muslims should perform ablution before doing it. The Muslim women should cover their heads.

2. The online Quran reading is also done after hearing the recitation online. In that case, using the microphone and headphones should be always encouraged.

3. The Muslim parents should encourage the online Quran reading because the children are more comfortable with using computers for education purposes. If they want a tutor for the children, the online tutors can easily be arranged. Many websites offer Quran education classes for individuals irrespective of their age.

Importance of Friday Prayer in Quran

The following is given a verse from the Holy Quran about the Friday prayer.

"O you who believe, when the Salat is announced on Friday, you shall hasten to the commemoration of God, and drop all business. This is better for you, if you only knew. Once the prayer is completed, you may spread through the land to seek God's bounties, and continue to remember God frequently, that you may succeed." Quran [62:9-10]

So, according to this verse from the Holy Quran, a Muslim must keep in mind the following points.

· The Friday prayer holds a lot of significance in Islam.

· The Muslims should listen to the Azaan with complete silence and deep respect. One should drop all other tasks when the Azaan starts.

· One should not keep his business or work at priority when compared to the Friday prayer.

· The Slat is compulsory at its timings only. The Quran does not demand from the Muslims to devote all the time to the prayer and religious rituals. After the prayer time is over, one may proceed to business or recreation or whatsoever is on his or her mind.

· The key to success lies in the frequent remembrance of Allah Almighty.

9 (NINE) GREAT BENEFITS OF QURAN RECITATION

(In the Name of Allah (SWT), Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, Lord of the Realms and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger (SAWS) and upon all his family and companions)

In the moment of time there have been certain aspects to which we Muslims have ignored the true meaning of it and for such a reason we are expected to follow the recommended path that leads to forgiveness and mercy. A good example would be of reciting Quran, where one cannot understand the meanings and still believe to acquire benefits. Such as:

  1. Your status in this life will be raised
  2. The Qur’an will lead you to Paradise!
  3. You will be from the best of the people
  4. The Qur’an will intercede for us on the Day of Judgment
  5. The Qur’an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment
  6. Reading and reflecting over the Qur’an fulfils an Islamic duty
  7. There are ten rewards for each letter you recite from the Quran
  8. The person reciting Qur’an will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels
  9. Your position in Paradise is determined by the amount of Qur’an you memorize in this life!

The Prophet said: “The Qur’an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” [An authentic Hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood]

There can be nothing beautiful and more special than the divine source of blessing such as Quran and for such a reason there can be no excuse to recite Quran with appropriate understanding and practice to acquire a lot more benefits.

IMPORTANCE OF DUA IN RAMADAN

(In the Name of Allah (SWT), Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, Lord of the Realms and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger (SAWS) and upon all his family and companions)

We as Muslims are told that there are certain aspects of our religion which exists to make a certain significant difference and this is precisely what Dua can do. It is to an extent said that Dua is a weapon for a believer who wish to be heard by its Lord, Allah (SWT) and this is where we are told below by our Beloved Prophet (SAWS).

Abu Saeed Khudri (Radhiyallaho anho) relates that Prophet Mohammad(Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) said, "Every day and night of Ramadan Allah sets free a great number of souls from Jahannam. And for every Muslim during every day and night there is a time when his dua is certainly accepted. (Bazzaar).

While this is important for your information, we are blessed with an opportunity to make ourselves heard and this can be done in the very month of Ramadan. As Ramadan Dua is an effective way to seek forgiveness, mercy and blessings. Make sure that you pray before opening/breaking your fast next time.

The famous dua at if'taar is: "O Allah for you have I fasted, in You do I believe, and on You do I rely and now I break this fast with food coming from you." There are various other Dua’s told with different authentications to make you achieve more than now and this can only be done with appropriate knowledge.

THE LOST PURPOSE, OBJECTIVE OF RAMADAN

(In the Name of Allah (SWT), Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, Lord of the Realms and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger (SAWS) and upon all his family and companions)

Being Muslims we know the importance and virtue of Ramadan in ISLAM and the blessings, mercy and potential forgiveness showered in the given month is the option which every Muslim tries to achieve just for a reason that there cannot be anything like it otherwise as this is the month in which we are to harvest the maximum.

The First Type:

On the very contrast to the opinion there are options which impose certain risks to those who are unaware of the greatness of this very month who are unaware of the blessings, mercy and forgiveness offered in this very special month and this is where we can do nothing but much to pray for the very soul to seek Tawba.

The Second Type:

Then comes the phase where another group of people are seen praying in mosque who have not been coming to mosque otherwise, rest of the year, it is those who are seen to be reciting Quran and other Ibadaat. However, what it is more important is that there have been types of intentions and actions which are awarded.

The Third (Truly Devoted) Type:

Then there comes those who know the very precise importance of Ramadan and know what they have to do to make their actions, deeds, fasting (abstaining from food, drink & sexual desire), sowing patience and devoting their more time and resources in good cause such as charity and seeking the blessings, mercy with forgiveness from ALLAH (SWT).

They must visit mosque and recite Quran in this Holy month to get Allah’s blessings. Muslims have their meals twice a day in Ramadan. The meal they take before sunrise is called Sehr and the second meal they take after sunset is called as Iftar. Muslims recite a dua at the time of sehr meal and another dua at the time of iftar to open their fast.

Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri Ramadan

Ramadan Dua for Iftar is:

Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu [wa 'alayka tawakkaltu] wa 'ala rizq-ika aftarthu

They also recite different Ramadan duas every day and not only at the time of Sehr and Iftar. Muslims make routine to perform supplications in this month and ask Allah for forgiveness and consider Ramadan as the month of blessings.
