The life of a Muslim revolves around the teachings of God Almighty, emanated through the Holy Quran and the life of greatest of all Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). These two happen to be the greatest sources of knowledge, wisdom and enlightenment, for living a life that pleases God Almighty, as mentioned in the Holy Quran itself:
Al-Araf [7:52] For We had certainly sent unto them a book, based on knowledge, which We explained in detail― a guide and a mercy to all who believe.
And
Al-Kahf [18:27] And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.
Now these verses are clearly evident of the importance of Quran recitation. That is why Quran recitation has been such an important part of the life of a true Muslim. Great rewards in this life and life thereafter have been promised by God Almighty and His beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for Quran recitation:
"When anyone recites the Holy Quran, he gets ten virtues written down for him against each letter".
And
"The house in which the Holy Quran is read looks as bright as the shining stars to those who live in heavens".
Now these verses and ahadith are clearly evident of the value of Quran recitation for Muslims. So we should strive to learn the best of Quran recitation to show our modest gratitude to God Almighty for his countless blessings upon us.
