The world has changed now. The one who doesn’t develop himself according to the world would be left behind. Luckily Muslims have a versatile religion that is for all humanity and for all generations of the universe. What we need is to research how to live in the modern world according to the teachings of Islam, learn Quran, follow its instructions and progress in this competitive world.

The world is now full of terror, turmoil, conflicts and confrontations and the victims are the Muslims. Few terrorists and anti-Americans were named as Muslims due to which all Muslims were targeted. Afghanistan and Iraq were attacked in the name of war against terrorism and adding to the miseries of these poor countries, none of the Muslim countries resisted. Mosques, Islamic Schools and innocent people were assaulted for the charge of practicing their religion, offering prayers and being peaceful.

The problem is due to the division of Muslim countries and uneducated environment. Muslims don’t know how to secure their interests. They don’t even know their real enemies. They are getting away from their religion and their values. They forgot to follow the teachings of Qur’an.

What can get Muslims out of these troubles? The answer is so simple yet so difficult to act upon. Muslim countries should reunite themselves against their enemies and educate themselves with religious education as well as modern education. That is how they can stop getting dictations from the others and respect the interest of Muslim countries.

Sacrifices Of Parents And Their Honor In Islam

There is no religion of this world that shows the parents a material love and dishonor them. Every religion of the world has respect for parents. Even if we see this relation in our daily lives; we know that our mothers are the ones who have gone through pain while we were in our womb. Because of her suffering and pain we are in this world. Then she took care of us when we were infants without even caring for day of night. She is the one who brought us up. Then our fathers took care of our social needs as well as personal needs. They educated us, gave us moral values, spiritually crafting us and even gave us religious knowledge by their collecting efforts. If we learn Quran we would find out what is the place of parents in the eyes of ALLAH.

In Islamic school of thought the Muslims have rights and duties towards the parents. These are discussed in detail in the Quran. As said by Allah in Quran:

"And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents. In travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in two years was his weaning. Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents; to Me is thy final goal." (Chapter31: verse14)

Then again said in Quran by Allah:

"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or more attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say, "my Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy, even as they cherished me in childhood." (17: 23,24)

"We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth." (46:15)

Are We On The Right Path?

Rasool Allah (p.b.u.h) said:

“At that time, there would be a lot mischief. A person would be Muslim in the morning and kafir (unbeliever) in the evening.”

This Hadis predicts the imaans of the Muslims would become so weak that you would not be able to make it clear if the person is Muslim or not. Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had said:

“It would so happen that the nations of the world would gather to fight against you (Muslims), and would invite one another (to attack you) just as the hungry invite one other to dinning.”

A man asked, “Shall we (Muslims) be in very small number and the Kufar in great number at that time?”

The Prophet replied: “No, the Muslims would be in a great number at that time. But they would be like garbage flowing in the direction of the river current. The Kufar would cease to fear you (Muslims). And your hearts would develop ‘Wahan’”.

Someone asked, “What is Wahan”?

The Prophet said: “Love of the world and hatred for death.”

Muslims now are one and a quarter billion but they are being aimed at by the non Muslims like vultures. It seems like there honor has died. The love of this world has made place in their hearts and they have forgot to remember Allah. They don’t learn Quran which is the book of faith of Muslims.

In another Hadis it is said by Hazrat Muhammad p.b.u.h“As long as the best amongst you are your chieftains; the rich are generous and your matters are decided with consultation, the surface of earth is better for you than the underside of earth. But when it so happens that your chieftains are the worst people are your chieftains, the rich become miser and your government is led by women, then the underside of earth is better for you than its surface.”

Now we see that the practice of Quran learning is put aside as we are too busy in performing the worldly acts. People like said in a Hadis will adopt the ways of the Christians and the Jews.

Just like the Christians who kept the Bible in the pocket next to their hearts, Muslims have kept the book of Allah in the shelves to show respect but don’t read it any more even when they can read Quran online.

History of Quran

Quran learning has always had its importance as it is the last scripture of Allah. Allah sent in Prophets in all times to guide people and most of them deviated from the path. At last he sent his most dear prophet in Arab and the last revelation of Allah came in 7th century.

Muhammad p.b.u.h was born in Mecca in Saudi Arabia. His parents passed away and never went to school, yet he was a spiritual man and did meditation at the cave called Hira. In his first revelation he was asked to ‘recite’.

All his life before and after he declared to be the messenger of Allah he practiced Islam and when he asked the Arab if they would trust him. All the Arabs said that they trusted the prophet as he never lied.

Muslims learn Quran and it has been a practice of Muslims since the Quran was revealed. Quran was revealed in parts some before hijrah and some after.

Muslims after the revelation of Quran started were exiled from Makah and Muslims headed to Madina. Later they when Allah gave them enough power they conquered Makah without killing anyone out of the kufars. All this times Muslims learnt Quran by heart or they wrote it down on different materials.

The teachings of Quran were further practiced by the Arabs. Now the Muslims read Quran online and Islam is practiced by the Muslims in all the parts of the world.

Which Then, Of The Favors Of Your Lord Wills O Jinn And Men You Twain Will Deny?

Starting from the creation of mankind to the judgment day everything is the creation of God. Allah is the lord of all the worlds, the heavens and the earth. Not even a bird can fly if God did not give him power to fly. Nor the boats float if there is no up thrust or buoyancy of water on the boat. Nor a creature can walk on earth if there is no gravity by God? Nothing can be stable if God takes the friction away.

We can never be able to count the blessings of God. Thus when awe can’t even count them how can we ever think of paying him back? That is impossible even this body and soul is a blessing of Allah. Starting from cradle to grave everything from the side of God is a blessing. Leadership is one of the blessings of God it has nothing to do with selection or election of people. When we read and learn Quran we find out what their real meaning of leadership and political power is in Islam. As it is said in Quran that:

“Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good works to make them masters in the land” (24:55).

This leadership is deserved by those who have completely surrendered themselves to the will of Allah. In Quran one example of this granting of leadership is Abraham. In Quran it is aid that Allah tested him in different ways and then gave him the gift of immamat. Allah tests the mankind all their lives and they are either granted with gifts, blessings or punished depending upon the result of their test. As it is said in Quran that:

God has made an example of the city which was once safe and peaceful. Its provisions used to come in abundance from every quarter: but its people denied the favors of Allah. Therefore, He afflicted them with famine and fear as a punishment for what they did. (16:112)

After the granting of what a man has deserved either he becomes proud of what he has or gets dismayed for what has been taken away from him. Man is so ungrateful and ignorant the powers of Allah.

The students of Islamic schools are able to put their lives in the best way Allah wants the muslims to be like, i.e. peaceful grateful and completely surrendered to Allah. This is done by teaching students Quran.

God created Adam taught him that God id his lord and gave him knowledge. Then HE gave him a free will so that he can distinguish between good and evil. For each of you, we have ordained a shari’ah and assigned a path, and had God pleased, He could have made of you one community: but it is His wish to try you by that which He has bestowed upon you. So, compete with each other in good deeds. To God shall you all return. Then He shall disclose upon you all your differences. (5:48)

Quran is an instinctive Guidance, the Sunah of Abraham, and the Scriptures of the Prophets. Quran tells us the concept of good and bad and preaching:

And true believers, both men and women, are friends to one another. They urge one another to what is good and forbid what is evil; (9:71)

Then in Quran HE asks us to follow the religion of Abraham:

Then We revealed to you to follow the ways of Abraham, who was true in faith and was not among the polytheists. (16:123)

Then he sent his books torah, Psalms and Gospels to guide people. History tells us that that Christians and Jews have made modifications in there scriptures.

[O Prophet!], He has revealed to you the Book with the truth, in confirmation of the scriptures which preceded it; and before this He has already revealed the Torah and the Gospel for the guidance of mankind, and [after them] revealed this Furqan. Indeed, those that deny God’s revelations shall be sternly punished; God is mighty and capable of retribution. (3:3-4)

It is mentioned in Quran that these were also books of GOD:

O Prophet (sws)! We have sent revelations to you as We sent revelations to Noah and to the prophets who came after him, and as We sent revelations to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his progeny and to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, Solomon, and We gave the Psalms to David. (4:163)
