Why Do Muslims Feel Pride In Teaching Quran

Without the teachings of Quran, the life of a Muslim is far from ideal, especially because Muslims deem Allah as the most supreme Authority and pleasing Him is the ultimate objective of true followers of Islam. That is why Muslims always heed to Quran and Sunnah (the deeds of Prophet Muhammad PBUH all through his life).

Quran is what God Almighty taught to His Prophet (PBUH) and Sunnah is the practical implementation of all that heavenly teachings. Since God has settled death for every living being as a basic principle of life, after the departure of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a means was needed to communicate all the teachings of God to guide humanity till The Day of Judgment.

So, Allah Almighty Himself was the first to Teach Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that His teachings can be communicated not only to people of the day, but for every single human being to come till The Day of Resurrection.

That is why Muslims take pride in teaching Quran to those who are devoid of this amazing knowledge of God, and those who teach Quran are considered as highly noble and respectable personalities of the society.

Quran Learning – The Basis Of Your Quest For Knowledge

Islam is a religion that asks its followers to seek knowledge more than anything else. Learning is very basic to Islam. In fact, Holy Quran, the religious Scripture of Muslims is a book of knowledge and guidance itself, as mentioned by Allah Almighty as:

Al-Baqara [2:231] …..He sent down to you the book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.

It means a person who wants to seek knowledge and become learned, should begin his quest by Quran learning in the very first place. Just have a look at what greatest of all, Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said about learning the knowledge in general and knowledge of religion in particular.

That person who shall die while he is studying, in order to revive the knowledge of religion, will be only one degree inferior to the prophets.

Without any doubt, the best source of knowledge of religion is Quran itself. That is why Quran learning holds a place so important for all Muslims. Not only it serves to increase knowledge of a person, but it also serves to get human beings close to God by indulging themselves in an activity that pleases Him.

Quran Recitation – The Best Way To Connect Yourself To The Mightiest

Holy Quran is a book so special that no other book can ever come close to its Holiness in any possible manner. This is so, because Allah Almighty Himself claims Quran to be His very own words as mentioned in various verses all through the Quran, such as:

"Indeed it is We who have sent down the Quran, and indeed it is Us who shall preserve it." (Surah 15:9)

That is why learning Quran is seen as an act of great admiration, promised to be rewarded by Allah Almighty, not only in this world, but the world hereafter. This is the reason Muslims have been so particular about Quran recitation all through the history of Islam.

The Mightiest of all, Allah Almighty Himself honors those who recite Holy Quran in the following words:

Aal-e-Imran [3:113] Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allâh during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer.

This is merely one verse that tells us how exalted and honorable are considered those people who indulge themselves in Quran recitation. It is an act of great love, respect, commitment, and obligation to God Almighty. In fact, it is one of the best ways to establish connection between God and His creations.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) also honors Quran Recitation in the following words:

"Envy is not permitted except in respect of two persons -- one whom Allah blesses with the recitation of the Quran and he remains engaged in it day and night, and the other is one who given abundance of wealth by Allah and he spends it (in Allah's path) day and night".

Tiny Similarities Between Islam And Christianity

Islam is the second largest religion after Christianity in the world. Both religions are closely knotted but moral values are different of both of them. There are just few chosen primary beliefs common in both religions. There are two separate Devin books for both religions from Allah Almighty and both have the strong belief on these scriptures. Here we will discuss the tiny similarities between Islam and Christianity in general.
  • Islam and Christianity abominate same-sex marriages.
  • Both religions clearly abominate suicide in any form.
  • Islam and Christianity are opposite to any appearance of overindulgence.
  • Both religions articulate severe penalties for those who disrespect Allah.
  • Faith by words of tongue only is of no significance at all and is in fact detested in both religions.
  • Appalling acts such as adultery and sexual involvement with a person of the same sex are highly opposed by both religions.
  • Both the religions need a strong faith on the fact that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and both consent to the fact that Jesus performed miracles.
  • Beaded thread used as an aid to worship Allah in both religions. This beaded thread is sometimes made from stone or wood. In Islam it is known as a 'tasbeeh,' while Catholics refer to it as a 'rosary'.
